WHAT TO EXPECT

Course Description

This course introduces students to the basics of Botany while also allowing them to learn and explore what is needed to create and maintain their own garden or horticultural landscape. Topics will include: climate zones, soils, drainage and irrigation. The final project will involve developing (and potentially implementing) a plan for their own botanical space.

MEET YOUR TEACHER

Ms. Knuppe

Ms. Knuppe has always been fascinated by the human body—how two cells can develop into a unique, thinking, and creative individual. She looks forward to sharing that wonder with you. With 26 years of teaching experience in public middle and high schools, she now lives on a South Dakota cattle ranch with her husband, has four children and ten grandchildren!
