Course Description

AP Psychology offers a general introduction to Psychology that is comparable to a first-year college course. The course surveys the major topics of psychology including: Psychology’s early history to the present, neuroscience & behavioral genetics, sensation & perception, cognition (memory, intelligence, & language), motivation & emotion, states of consciousness, learning, development, personality, research methods, social dynamics, psychological disorders, and therapeutic methods.


This course requires weekly engagement but is primarily asynchronous which allows students to work around their school schedule. There is a synchronous meeting that will take place one evening per week that is optional for students to attend. Meeting times to be determined at the beginning of the term.
