
Course Description
This course includes an in-depth analysis of plane, solid, and coordinate geometry as they relate to both abstract mathematical concepts as well as real-world problem situations. Topics include logic and proof, parallel lines and polygons, perimeter and area analysis, volume and surface area analysis, similarity and congruence, trigonometry, and analytic geometry. Emphasis will be placed on developing critical thinking skills as they relate to logical reasoning and argument. Students will be required to use different technological tools and manipulatives to discover and explain course content. This course has an estimated time commitment of 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Ms. Martin
Ms. Martin is the Chief Academic Officer for AVLI and lives in St. John's NL on the (extreme) east coast of Canada with her husband, two kids, and poodle. She's been a math teacher for over 20 years and a retired Captain from the Canadian Forces. Math is 100% her happy place so teaching this course a real pleasure and privilege.
